Practice of and Consideration about the Subject Services in Public Libraries---Taking Pudong Library’s Shipping Subject as an Example

Taking the exploration and practice of Pudong Library’s shipping subject service as an example, and from four aspects of the shipping subject’s literature service, reference service, readers’ activity and shipping subject’s reader investigation and feedback, this paper probes into the problem of how to continuously innovating the subject service through integrating and optimizing the subject resources, strengthening the development of the subject resources, and adhering to the“reader centered and demand oriented”principle.
