Analysis on the Subject-oriented Information Service

ABSTRACT： This paper analyzes the background of the subject-oriented information service, holding that the development of computer network technology, the variation of users＇ information environment and the improvement of users＇ information literacy are the power of the library to develop the subject-oriented information service; expounds the course of the transition of the patterns of communicator-collaborator-information commissioner experiencing in the development of the subject-oriented information service; and points out that the promotion of scientific research, the embodiment of library value and the improvement of self-capacity of subject librarians are the objectives of the library to implement the subject-oriented information service.
