| Abstract: | In this paper , the favourable synoptic situation and climate background for an extraordinary heavy sandstorm weather process over northwest area , which occurred on May 5-6,1993,has been studied using weather maps and meteorologi-cal elements. The features of movement,development and the influence of the ther-modynamical mechanisms and human activities for the sandstorm has been analyzed also. |
