清末东北地区私塾改良述论

私塾改良是清末教育改革的重要内容,新式学堂发展的乏力是清政府进行私塾改良的重要原因。东北地方当局通过设立私塾管理机构、改良塾师、改良教授内容和注重新学与旧学的衔接等手段对私塾进行了改良。东北私塾改良并未达到将私塾转换为小学的预期目标,在形式上并未实现教育模式由传统向现代的转变。但清政府通过私塾改良将国家权力渗透入传统教育领域,将传统教育模式纳入了由政府主导的教育体系中。
