| Abstract: | According to the experimental data of 93 reinforced concrete slabs, the authors propose a formula for the calculation of shear strength of slabs. The formula is simple, it considers the main factors, the result is in good agreement with the experimental data, and it may be used for various supports (simple, restrained, and continuous). In this paper, the failure modes of shear and working breadth for shear are discoursed. |
