| Abstract: | A composite finite element method(CFEM)is developed to analyze the stress and displace- ment of miter gates of ship locks.Both field tests and CFEM are used to determine the displacement and stress of the miter gates of the Gezhouba Grand-Channel Lock.The measured values are in good agreement with the computed results.This proves that the proposed analysis scheme is effective and re- liable,and can be used in the design of large miter gates. |
