| Abstract: | he differential equations of motion for structures with base sliding isolation are presented.By using the equivalent linearization method, the mean square sliding displacement response and the mean square sliding velocity response for structures with base sliding isolation under a band limited white noise excitation are obtained.On the basis of probability distribution function of maximum sliding displacement response,the formula of probability significance for calculating additional width of foundation is derived. |
