磁记录微观摩擦学性能测试仪的研制

摘    要:为展开磁记录微观摩擦学的研究 ,自行研制了磁记录微观摩擦学性能测试仪。它可以模拟磁盘系统 ,并通过计算机对高速电机转速和起停状态的控制来精确模拟硬盘的各种运行及起停状态。该仪器实现了动态摩擦力、正压力、飞行间隙和微磨损的在线测量。测力系统采用相互垂直的簧片式微悬臂结构 ,正压力通过位移精确控制 ,正压力和摩擦力的分辨率分别达到 5μN和 1μN。膜厚测试系统中 ,采用双色光入射 ,保证测量系统在各种膜厚下都具有高分辨率 ,利用相对光强光干涉法 ,使测量系统在膜厚方向上的分辨率稳定在 0 .5 nm ;磨损测量系统中利用等厚干涉原理 ,来实现磁盘高速旋转下的非接触实时磨损厚度测量 ,可测磨损厚度的分辨率小于 1.5 nm

Abstract:The densities of magnetic storage systems in computers are rapidly increasing due to the lowered flying height of magnetic heads. Because the magnetic head is positioned in close proximity to the magnetic medium which increases the operational demand on the head disk interface (HDI), a more detailed understanding of the tribological phenomena at the HDI is necessary. Test equipment developed for this research has these elements: a revamped hard disk, its controller, and a high resolution dual axis strain gauge beam for measuring horizontal and vertical forces, film thickness and wear between the slider and the disk measurement unit. The main objective of the experiment is to measure the friction and load of different specimens, the film thickness and the wear between the slider and disk as a function of various parameters. A better understanding is developed of the combined effects of various parameters, especially the humidity, the temprature, the overcoat, and the lubricant on the friction and wear performance of the disks to select an appropriate overcoat and lubricant with optimum performance.
