| Abstract: | By discussing the Hollywood film Hua Mu Lan and combining the oriental and western cultural contexts, the paper gives a dialectic perspective of the a-woman-disguised-as-a-man narrative mode commonly seen and its duality, thus asserting that gender criticism is helpful for us to transcend the inherent thinking mode and discover the new works. |
