Abstract:Radiation monitoring is one of important parts of environment monitoring.Radiation environment monitoring for highway construction,especially in the region with rich uranium,is necessary to decrease the pollution to environment,public and construction workers.In this study,the radiation environment influence of a highway in Fujian province is evaluated.The content of radionuclides such as U,Th and K in the soil is measured using r-ray spectrometer.Results show specific activity is higher than mean level of China and the world.The mean irradiation index of the air above 1 m of ground surface is 137.59 uGy/H using Beck method,which is lower than standard value of 174 uGy/H for builder and public.The mean radon concentration is 122.33 Bq/m3 using exchange model of air-ground higher than mean in Fujian province.
