英语诗歌与英语教学

英语诗歌是一个包含丰富社会生活内容、语言艺术和文化内涵的世界,是基础英语教学的一块很有潜力的教学资源.然而,英语诗歌在我国的基础英语教学中却没有得到应有的利用和开发.选用合适的英语诗歌进行基础阶段的教学可以在培养学生的听、说、读、写等诸方面起着十分积极的作用,能激发学生对语言本身的兴趣和热爱,在利用英语诗歌为学生创造更多的语言实践机会的同时,能提高学生的文化素质和语言运用的能力.因此,英语诗歌在英语教科书中应占有一席之地.

English Poems and English Teaching

Although they provide good resources for the English teaching,the English poems are not adopted as lessons in the textbooks for high school and college students except for those in literature.This paper argues appropriate English poems could not only be very positive in training students' skills of listening,speaking,reading and writing but in motivating them in the learning of the language itself and different cultures.It suggests that English poems be included as texts in the basic training of the English learners.
