中国省际经济增长“资源诅咒”的实证分析

针对我国大多数资源型地区经济发展水平与资源贫乏地区之间存在强烈反差的现象,在"资源诅咒"假说框架下,利用中国29个省1997—2006年的面板数据,实证分析了自然资源与经济增长之间的关系及其传导机制.结果表明:丰富的自然资源确实对经济增长产生了"资源诅咒"效应;自然资源主要通过削弱资源型地区的资本投入、教育投入、研发投入及第三产业发达程度这几种传导途径来制约资源型地区的经济增长.

Empirical Analysis of the "Resources Curse" of Chinese Regional Economic Growth

Based on the phenomenon that there is a strong contrast of economic development level between resources-based regions and those regions poor of resources,using China’s inter-provincial panel data from 1997 to 2006,the relationship between the abundant resources and economic growth and its transmit channels in the "resources curse" hypothesis of theoretical framework are analyzed empirically.The results show that:The relationship between the abundant resources and economic growth remain negatively despite controlling other variables affecting economic growth,the "resources curse" really exists in our inter-provincial level;Inhibiting the developments of the manufacturing and other technical services sectors,flight of domestic capital caused by the neglect of human capital because of the worsening investment environment,the neglect of nurturing human capital and supporting of technological innovation are channels to restrict the resource-based regions’ economic growth.
