摘    要:必需基因是维持生物体生命活动必不可少的基因,基因特征的选取对于必需基因的理论预测识别方法至关重要.作者采用分形理论对DEG必需基因数据库中的所有细菌物种进行了基于Hurst指数的必需基因与非必需基因特征对比分析,旨在提取必需基因区别于非必需基因的显著特征.结果表明,绝大部分必需基因与非必需基因序列具有长程相关性,所分析细菌物种的必需基因和非必需基因的Hurst指数均较好地遵从Gamma分布规律,且两类基因的Hurst指数具有显著性差异.

Abstract:Essential genes are indispensable for the maintenance of life activity. Gene feature selecting is crucial for the theoretical predictions and recognition of essential genes. In this paper, based on chaos game representation method, comparative analysis of the Hurst exponent of the essential and non-essential genes of all bacterials in DEG essential genes database was made. The result shows that both essential and non-essential gene sequences have long range correlation. There is a linear relationship between Hurst exponent and gene sequences, and the Hurst exponents of essential and non-essential genes have significant difference. Therefore, Hurst exponent may be an effective feature for distinguishing essential and non-essential genes. The results provide theoretical basis for bacterial species essential genes prediction.
