The synthesis of a yellow emitting rare earth borate phosphor

A yellow emitting rare earth borate phosphor was synthesized. The dependence between luminance and composition of the phosphor has been studied. Various factors that affect the luminance of the phosphor have been investigated. The purity of rare earth compounds has a great influence on the luminance. The structure, emission spectrum and excitation spectrum of the phosphor were measured. It's performance was examined too. The results show it is suitable for application.
