| Abstract: | In this paper,the present research situation and development trend of nonlinear analysis approach for the design of steel frames are presented.In addition,the consideration of nonlinear factors influencing the global ultimate capacity of steel frames is discussed.The achievements on nonlinear analysis have formed a foundation for the advanced design of steel frames. |
