| Abstract: | The uncertainties of geotechnical parameters are analysed in this paper.The concept of a random-fuzzy sample is established. The membership functions of the experimental values of geotechnical parameters are derived, and the corresponding random-fuzzy statistics formulae for treating the experimental values considering both the random uncertainty and fuzzy uncertainty of the values are given. The results obtained show that the recommended membership functions are rational and the suggested randomfuzzy statistics method is more realistic and better than the conventional one. |
