| Abstract: | Cement-soil mixing methed in which cement is mixed thoroughly with the surrounding soft soil in situ has been widely used in many fields for the improvement of soft ground. In this paper,two engineering examples are introduced. What is given in the paper are the results of the unconfined compressive strength of the cement-stabilized soil in Lab tests,the distribution of the stresses on the pile top and in the shaft obtained from field measurements, the analysis of the stress concentration and the mechanical characteristics of the cement-soil mixed pile. |
