Abstract:In this paper, the quantitative character changes of the community and main po- pulations under mowing influence are analyzed based on five years research. The main conclusions are as follows. 1. A statistic recording of seed plants for 5 years in the experimental plots were made. There are 46 species which belong to 37 genera in 18 families. There are differences in different years. 2. The above-ground biomass of the community under the different treatments and in different years are different. The bio- mass reached the highest at post-fruiting period, and the highest production was the fifth year after planting. The density of the community was the highest in 1984, and lowest in 1986. 3. The above-ground biomass of A. chinense individuals of various treat- ments gradually decreased from 55.20-134.53 g/m~2 in 1983 to 3.66-17.16 g/m~2 in 1987, which is lower than that control (35.48 g/m~2). The density, plant height and mean individual weight of A. chinense declined obviously. 4. The above-groung biomass of A. scoparia and A. sieversiana under different treatments increased year by year. The den- sity, plant height and mean weight of individual were different in various years, but they were seemly not effected by mowing.
