| Abstract: | The two approaches of applying catastrophe theory to social science (quality analysis and transformation of equations) are summarized and the detailde steps are given in this paper. In addition, the swallowtail catastrophe model is taken as the example and its catastrophe forms and characteristics are analyzed thoroughly. |
