摘    要:实验研究了分布反馈半导体激光器(DFB-SLs)在双光注入下的非线性动力学行为. 研究结果表明:与单光注入相比,双光注入将使DFB-SLs呈现更丰富、更复杂的非线性动力学行为. 固定两注入光的波长,获得了双光注入强度取不同值时DFB-SLs输出的光谱和功率谱信息. 基于这些信息,对处于A,B和C三种不同情形下双光注入DFB-SLs所呈现的一些典型的动力学状态进行了判定. 最后,给出了双光注入DFB-SLs输出的动力学状态在由两注入光的注入强度构成的参数空间的分布图,并确定了A,B和C情形所在的区域范围.

Experimental investigation on the nonlinear dynamical states of DFB semiconductor lasers subject to dual-beam optical injection

Abstract:The nonlinear dynamic behaviors of the distributed feedback semiconductor laser (DFB-SLs) subject to dual-beam optical injection are experimentally investigated. The results show that the outputs of a DFB-SL subject to dual-beam optical injection display much rich and more complex nonlinear dynamical behaviors compared with that of a DFB-SL subject to single-beam injection. By fixing the oscillated wavelengths of two injection optical beams and continuously changing injection strengths of two injection optical beams, the output optical spectra and power spectra of the DFB-SL under different injection strengths of dual-beam optical injection have been measured. On the basis of the optical spectra and power spectra, some typical dynamical states have been determined under three cases categorized as scenarios A, B and C. Finally, we give the distribution map of the dynamical states of DFB-SL in the parameter space of two injection strengths, and the regions for scenarios A, B and C have been indicated.
