| 摘 要： | 衔接是为了实现语篇的连贯。照应是常用的衔接手段之一。通过对比分析可见，英汉两种语言在照应衔接手段方面有一些共性和差异，翻译时应根据英汉语言的形式要求，自然贴切地转换衔接手段，从而为读者提供衔接合理、语义连贯的译文。 |

| Abstract: | Cohesion contributes to the realization of textual coherence. Reference is one of the five main cohesive devices. On the basis of a contrastive analysis of reference between Chinese and English, this paper probes into some similarities and differences between the two languages in terms of textual cohesion. Accordingly, translators are required to make natural adjustments for cohesive patterns in the process of translation on the basis of the cohesive preferences of different languages for the sake of the production of a smooth and coherent translated version for readers. |
