| Abstract: | Through the investigation about roughness of machined surface, tool wear, cutting force, friction coefficient, tool-chip contact length, and built-up edge, this paper discusses the cutting mechanism of three types of high speed steel cutting tools with TiN coating (totally coated, with reground flank, with reground rake face) and one type without any coating. |
