朱熹盐业管理改革思想初探

On the Reform Thinking of Zhuxi's Administration of Salt Trade

Under the instruction of the theory of political reform belonging to a Confucian school of idealist philosophy and in the observation and learning of the detailed administration of salt trade,Zhu Xi proposed that the monopoly system should be cancelled, and generous policy of private salt be carried on; he also offered porposals for conducting various flexible administrative modes, reducing taxes, eliminating unreasonable extra corves for the benefit of the country and for the individuals. He advocated fitting in with the needs of the market, emphasizing the price law and the relationship between supply and demand, and fairly restraining the price of salt. All his thinking better reflected his reform spirit.
