英语课堂教学中的行为指示语和象征指示语

指示语有两类用法：行为性指示语的用法和象征性指示语的用法。行为性指示语的理解更依赖于自然语境，尤其是教师的身体语言；然而象征指示语的理解更依赖于语言语境和认知语境。在英语课堂话语中，比起对行为指示语的理解，对于象征指示语的理解学生需要花费更多精力来进行分析。教师应当依据学生的需求调整这两种指示语的使用比例，尽量多使用行为指示语。

On the Gestural and Symbolic Usage of Deixis in the English Classroom Teaching

There are two kinds of deixis usage：the gestural usage of deixis and symbolic usage of deixis. The gestural usage of deixis depends more on physical context, especially teachers’ body language, while the symbolic usage of deixis depends more on linguistic context and cognitive context. As a result, the interpretation of the symbolic usage of deixis requires more efforts than the gestural usage in the English classroom discourse. Teachers should adjust the using proportion of these two kinds of deixis usages, especially use more gestural usage of deixis.
