Abstract:The oxidation of aromatic aldehydes with O 2 has been investigated in the presence of MP(Cl)(M=Fe,Co,Ni,Mn,Cu and Zn).The oxygen uptake volume of MP(Cl)during the course of the reaction was measured.It was observed three complexes M APCl(M A=Fe,Mn,Co)can catalyze the oxidation of aromatic aldehydes,while H 2P and other complexes M BP (M B=Ni,Cu and Zn)are inactive.On the other hand it was studied that the effect of substrates on oxidation of aromatic aldehydes.
