| 摘 要： | 通过语料库语言学方法,在对规模400多万词次的4个语料库的检索结果进行分析和归纳后,对英语形容词considerable及其所修饰的名词的特点做了较为详尽的描述。提供了一个通过描述性研究方法来研究词的用法的范例。

| Abstract: | This study,done on the basis of corpus linguistics approach,analyses concordances of the English adjective considerable taken from four one-million-word corpora and presents in detail the description of the characteristics of the word and the nouns modified by it.The paper provides a model for study of the usage of words in a descriptive approach. |
