量化LMS算法的自适应滤波器及其低功耗设计

摘    要:LMS算法实现自适应滤波器,电路结构简单且能够达到满意的性能,广泛应用于以太网和802.11无线局域网中.分析了3种量化LMS算法的收敛速度和稳态误差,提出了用2-指数来量化误差信号,符号截断来量化输入序列;提出了用半加器来实现系数自适应调整,量化后的系数更新因子只有一个“1”,性能可以和传统的LMS算法媲美,硬件规模和功耗只有传统LMS算法的60%.

Abstract:Adaptive filter implemented by LMS(least mean square) algorithm,which has widely applied to Ethernet and 802.11 wireless LAN widely,has a simple circuit architecture and satisfied performance.The convergence rate and steady error of three quantization LMS algorithms are analyzed.A new quantization LMS algorithm is proposed,which quantizes error with power-of-two and input with sign-clipped-data.The good performance can be compared with traditional LMS algorithm.As there is only one "1" in the update coefficient, half adder is proposed to get new coefficient,which consumes only 60% hardware and power of traditional LMS algorithm.
