The Competition Policy Characteristics of NAFTA

The competition policy of Free Trade Area of North America is a cooperative mode following European Union's competition policy. It is a more ideal model of the cooperation of group's competition policy of the current regional economy. Comparing with European Union' s competition policy, it has the characteristics of abstractness, preventing the legal vacuum phenomenon from producing, the particularity of the dispute way of the competition, fuzzy and level unitarity of its concrete regulation, etc. Among them, the first three major characteristics , being relatively suitable for the characteristics of most regional economy groups, should be imitated, and the other should be perfected in the competition policy of the regional economy group which will be made in the future.
