摘    要:分析了实现ATM网中话音通信的各项技术的特点.指出了宽带终端(B-TE)实现话音通信应具有的功能.对B-TE中适配层的选择、信元打包策略和定时信号的传输方案进行了分析与讨论,建立了B-TE话音通信功能模型.讨论了网络互通单元(IWU)的信令传输方式,交换虚通道(SVC)或永久虚通道(PVC)两种ATM网连接IWU的方案,分析建立了IWU的协议模型和功能结构模型.分析表明采用PVC可以避免在网络中设置回声抑制器.

Abstract:Transport of voice over asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) network is now an urgent task in ATM technical development. The specific features of various techniques for transport of voice over ATM network are analyzed. The functions for interworking at B TE for voice transport are listed. The selection of adaptation type, the strategy for signal element packing required and the transport scheme of timing signals are discussed. A function model for voice transport at B TE is developed. The transmission mode of signal command in the interworking unit (IWU); and two schemes with either switching virtual channel (SVC) or permanent virtual channel (PVC) are discussed. A protocol model for IWU is also developed. It is shown that with PVC, echo suppressors need not to be used in the network.
