| 摘 要： | 提出了一种新的基于离散余弦变换的汽车牌照定位方法，该方法首先对图像进行快速离散余弦变换并利用面积标记法去掉一些小区域，再结合水平投影和差分运算从图中切割出牌照所在的水平条，最后结合垂直投影直方图及牌照的几何特征得到牌照的准确位置．实验结果表明该方法是有效的。

| Abstract: | In this paper, a new plate locating method based on Discrete Cosine Transform is proposed. In the method, Discrete Cosine Transform is firstly applied to the original image, and an Area-Labeling method is used to remove some small blocks. Then a horizontal bar which includes the plate is segmented from the above result using its horizontal projection and difference. Finally, the vertical projection and the geometry of the plate are used to refine the location of the plate. Experimental results show that the approach is effective. |
