Cultural Characteristics and Management of the Foreign Students from the Great Mekong Area

Countries in the Great Mekong Area bordering Yunan and Guangxi of China have had deep-rooted cultural and educational exchanges with China. Entering the 21st century, there has been a sharp rise in the number of students coming to study in China from these countries. The convening of China-ASEAN Expo is attracting more and more students from these countries. It will be an effective approach to effective management if the management of these above-mentioned students is discussed from the perspective of cultural similarities and differences, their cultural characteristics understood, cultural participation prioritized, and appropriate customer strategy adopted in management.
