Summary The influence of pentobarbital and urethan on the hypoxia induced EEG arousal was studied in adult rats and rabbits. A depression of this EEG reaction by pentobarbital was found, while the arousal was unchanged by urethan. A possible mechanism for these findings is discussed. |
