The preliminary reseach on the history and development of physical geography

Based on expounding the developing law of geography, the paper expounded the formation and developing trace of physical geography and also discussed its developing trends. It proposed that geography is constructed and developed on the inharmonic of the theory and method. The developing of geography is the contradictory production of the theory and method. Physical geography in future should be first led by the theoretic breakthrough and emphasizing on the practical application.
