南北古民居中马头墙的风格比较

旧时徽州村落房屋密集,因防火、防风之需,在居宅的两山墙顶部砌筑有高出屋面的封火墙,因其形似马头,故被称马头墙,马头墙是徽派建筑的重要特征。历史上的徽州泛指整个皖南山区,包括浙、赣、皖、闽四省的交界地区。现有资料显示,浙江全部、皖南、赣东、闽北(闽东)甚至鄂南等地区都有马头墙。

Architecture charm of Matou Wall in Construction of the North and the South

At ancient times,＂Sealed firewall＂ was added to Huizhou buildings at the top of the two gables in order to prevent fire and wind.It is like the horse head thus is called Matou Wall which is the important feature of Huizhou architecture.Huizhou mentioned in historical documents included the entire mountain area of South Anhui,namely the area at the borders of Zhejiang,Jiangxi,Anhui and Fujian Provinces.Relevant materials show that Matou Walls can be found in Zhejiang,south of Anhui,east of Jiangxi,north of Fujian（east of Fujian）,even south of Hubei.
