| Abstract: | A sound comprehension of English poems has a positive effec t on the development of college students' reading competence.The explanation of an English poem is a reflection of interactive approach.With the analysis of the n ature of the process of reading and features of English poems,some factors that influence students' reading abilities are introduced.Thus reading English poems can enhance learners'declarative and procedural knowledge.Finally the training i n reading comprehension strategies is presented. |
