The Communication Protocol and Protocol Controller Design of A Two-wire Bus

Abstract: The M-Bus (Meter-Bus) is a two-wire bus which is widely used in remote measurement and remote control due to its convenience of installation, the characteristic of low power consumption and the capability of long distance transportation. The paper presents a new type of communication protocol of a two-wire bus which is similar to M-Bus (Meter-Bus), and gives a design instance of the protocol controller which would be useful when engineers need to build a simple sensor network in a short time for remote measurement with low power consumption.
