摘    要:笔者对井冈山学大学外语系英语专业2006级本科生进行问卷调查和个别访谈,发现英语专业低年级学生口语能力较差和其个入背景、中学时代的英语学习条件及学习习惯密相关。因此,笔者建议校方优化师资分配,帮助学生重新打好语音基础;任课教师应鼓励并帮助学生逐渐养成课堂内外讲英语的习惯,创建多方位的口语练习环境;尝试由精读老师牵头进行寝室英语小社区的教学改革。

Abstract:The authors of this paper conduct a survey among freshmen of Grade 2006 who are English majors of Jinggangshan University and find out the students' current poor oral competence in English is closely related to their personal backgrounds, the learning conditions of the middle schools they attended, and their learning habits in middle school. Suggestions are therefore given that the school authority should assign the best teachers to teach freshmen the subject of phonetics in order to help these students reestablish a good foundation in pronunciation, all teachers concerned should encourage and facilitate the students to form a habit of using English as their daily language, create a multi-dimensional speaking environment, and the teachers who teach Intensive Reading should try to carry out a teaching reform by establishing English speaking communities in the students' dormitories.
