| Abstract: | Great importance is attached to vocabulary teaching, so how to teach vocabulary has been researchers＇ concern. The writer of this article maintains that effective vocabulary teaching and learning exists in the appropriate combination of implicit vocabulary teaching and explicit vocabulary teaching. To certain extent, the latter contributes more to the mastery of vocabulary. Several such techniques are listed in the article to help teachers to teach vocabulary well and learners to learn them well. |
