| 摘 要： | 从一定意义上说，严复的国民性改造思想是对传统道德的颠覆，它促使社会价值观念从“群体本位”向“个人本位”转换。然而，严复又认为传统道德对国民具有教化作用，这是国家保持“国性”的关键，它使严复陷入了自相矛盾，也是他国民性改造的困境。
