英汉术语仿造翻译法诠索

仿造翻译方法是新术语和新概念在语际转换中常用的翻译方法,但是,由于英汉语言之间的差异,对这一转换方法的研究并不多。从语义、形态、句法和指称层面分析仿造法在英汉翻译中的局限性和可译性,探索仿造方法在翻译新术语和新概念中的具体应用,能够相对系统和全面地研究仿造翻译方法,并有针对性地提出更加具体和实用的仿造翻译方法,指出相关注意问题,从而有针对性地指导新术语和新概念的仿造翻译实践,以填补目标语的语义和文化空缺,丰富目标语文化。

Terms Calque in English-Chinese Translation

Calque is a frequently utilized method in rendering new terms and concepts in translingual translation. Due to the differences of the English-Chinese (E-C) languages, calque has not been studied sufficiently enough, so it is necessary to explore the applications of calque in E-C translation of new terms and concepts. From the dimensions of semantics, morphology, syntax and reference, we studied the limitation and degrees of translatability of calque in E-C translation, and put forward the different types of calque with their specific methods applicable in the E-C rendering. Calque, taking into account of the acceptability of TL culture, is of significance for the popularization of new terms and concepts, which fill lacunae in TL as well as enrich TL culture.
