高氏家族与云南佛教

高氏家族是云南历史上的一个名门望族。大理国时期，高氏家族世袭大理国宰相，分封高氏子弟统治大理国的八府四郡。元明清时期，高氏土司长期统治鹤庆、永胜、姚安三地。高氏家族笃信佛教，高氏家族大力出资在各地捐建寺庙，高氏家族中的不少重要成员还出家为僧。高氏家族对云南的佛教文化产生了深远的影响，云南的很多佛教名山都和高家有着深厚的历史渊源。

The Gaos and Buddhism in Yunnan

The Gaos is a noble family in Yunnan. During Dali Kingdom era, the Gaos had hereditarily held the position of prime minister in central government as well as the position of governors in Eight Fu and Four Jun. From Yuan dynasty to Qing dynasty, the Gaos had hereditarily held the position of governors in Heqing Fu, Yongbei Fu and Yao＇ an Fu. The Gaos had great influence on Buddhism in Yunnan. Most of the Gaos believed in Buddhism. On the one side, the Gaos generously donated fortune to build hundreds of Buddhist temples in Yunnan. On the other side, many elites of the Gaos became Buddhist masters in Yunnan. People always associate the Gaos with Buddhism.
