| Abstract: | In this paper, based on the stratification theory, the necessary and sufficient condition for the well-posedness of a kind of simplified atmospheric motion equations' initial values is given. A (necessary) condition for the ill-posedness of its initial value problem is also given. An example of ill-(posedness) of the initial value problem (on hyper plane t=0) is presented. |
