| Abstract: | In this paper some characteristics of composite gear used in the transmission system of general machine tools are presented. Also the peculiarities of a twin composite gear applied to the system are described theoretically in particular. It is pointed out that the crux of such a twincomposite gear in the actual design of transmission system is to calculate the transmission ratio and the number of gear teeth, hence to derive the equation. In order to simplify the designing calculation, and to carry out practical work more conveniently, some relevant charts are introduced. |
