In this paper the expansion of determinants is discussed by means of the flowgraph theory. As a corollary of the flowgra'ph expansion of determinants, the expansion is divid- ed into two parts, which correspond to two topological structures. Of them one contains the expanded elements and the other does not. The new expansion is a generalized result applicable to the general expanded cases
