袁绍与兖州之战

兖州之战是关系曹操、吕布双方命运的一次重要战役。关于此次战役,众多论者都忽略了袁绍施加的重要影响。袁绍所敌视的吕布、张邈联合起来如果完全控制兖州,可能使袁绍腹背受敌,这是他支援曹操的一个重要原因。此役袁绍很可能亲自率军击败吕布占据东郡大部,吕布、曹操撤去后他以曾为张邈弟张超属下的臧洪为东郡太守。后臧洪对袁绍坐视张超被曹操消灭极为不满,与袁绍断绝往来。袁绍出兵经长期围攻重新占据东郡大部。袁绍、曹操后来走向公开分裂,此次兖州之战也埋下伏笔。

Yuan Shao and the Battle of Yanzhou

The battle of Yanzhou was a decisive one related to the fate of Cao Cao and Lu Bu.Most researchers neglected Yuan Shao＇s important influence on this battle.If Lu Bu and Zhang Miao,both of whom Yuan Shao was hostile towards,united to control Yanzhou completely,Yuan Shao would be between two fires.And this was a significant reason for Yuan Shao to aid Cao Cao.Perhaps Yuan Shao himself commanded his army to defeat Lu Bu and occupy most of Dongjun in this battle.After Lu Bu and Cao Cao withdrew,he appointed Zang Hong,a former subordinate of Zhang Chao who was the younger brother of Zhang Miao,as the Prefect of Dongjun.Later Zang Hong cut off his relationship with Yuan Shao because the latter sat by and watched Cao Cao＇s wiping out Zhang Chao.Yuan Shao dispatched troops to occupy most of Dongjun after a long time siege.The battle of Yanzhou foreshadowed the open cleavage of Yuan Shao and Cao Cao later.
