摘    要:研究目的是开发具有力觉显示功能的虚拟现实系统,培训牙科医生进行牙体探查操作。通过分析牙科手术临床操作的特征和培训现状,提出了基于虚拟现实技术的培训方案。采用力觉交互设备Phantom,基于Windows2000建立了试验平台,实现了两种典型接触交互操作的模拟:探针对牙齿表面不同组织区域进行探查和利用探针去除牙面软沉积物。文章重点讨论力觉显示系统的硬件和软件体系结构,牙齿和工具的建模方法,以及保证仿真实时性的方法。实验证明该系统可以比较逼真的模拟牙齿探查的手术操作,为培训牙科医生提供了一种新的途径。

Abstract:The goal of this paper is to develop virtual reality system with force display capability, which is used to train the dentist in dental probing operation. Based on analysis of characteristics and disadvantage in current dental training method, virtual reality method is proposed. Using force display device---Phantom, Windows2000 based microcomputer training platform is developed to simulated two typical operations, that is, probing tissues with different stiffness and removing material alba from the tooth surface. Hardware component and software architecture of the training system is proposed to meet the training requirement. Modeling method of tooth and tool is introduced and real time control method and virtual force model is discussed to achieve tradeoff between fidelity and stability. Experiments indicate fairly good fidelity in force display and show the validity of the simulation system.
