| Abstract: | The full discrete Fourier nonlinear Galerkin algorithm is applied to the two dimensional Navier Stokes equations with periodic boundary conditions. Discussed are the boundedness of its approximate solution and continuity with respect to initial value. The results attain better stability than those found from the classical Galerkin method. Long time behavior could be better simulated in addition to the possibility of modeling turbulence. |
