基于差异的远程文件备份与恢复方法

为了构建文件备份中心，提出一种基于差异的远程文件备份与恢复方法．利用快照技术在客户端维持文件的新旧两个版本，计算出这两个版本之间的差异形成文件差异集，传输到备份中心后重放该差异集实现文件备份．通常在客户端保存有与被恢复文件内容相同或者相似的文件，在恢复时这部分文件会被利用以实现差异恢复．实验结果表明，本方法与传统的文件备份系统相比，能显著减少网络流量，大幅提升备份与恢复的效率．

A remote backup and recovery method based on files difference

In order to build file backup center, a remote backup and recovery method based on files difference is proposed. Snapshot technique is used to keep two editions of file at client end. The file difference set is calculated and transmitted to backup center. File backup task is finished by replaying the file difference set at backup center. Ordinarily there are some files same or similar as the files to be recovered at client end, and then we can use these files to make a difference recovery. The experiment results indicate that this method can decrease network traffic remarkably, and improve efficiency of file backup and recovery evidently over traditional file backup system.
