Abstract:Urban traffic real time control system is one of the most challenging synthesis application system of multiple disciplines, such as computer science, control theory and traffic engineering. STC ( System of Traffic Control ) is an improved system based on the original SZ 1 system and other running systems. It adopts the new architecture of distributed multiple tasks real time on line system, with characteristics of distributed multiple agents based computing model, showing high performance on reliability, real time effectiveness, easy maintainance, extendablity and practicability. It supports many kinds of adaptive control methods. Actual results show that STC is more suitable for the city traffic conditions in our country, having produced great synthesis profits in Xiamen city.
