| Abstract: | Through an analysis of the cause and content of Britain's higher education reform and a study of Staffordshire University's administrative framework and characteristics, the writer suggests that the rise and fast development of Britain's local universities are responsible to a great extent for the transformation of the country's higher education system from pure academicism to applicability and modernization, and that there is much in terms of method and experience China's local universities can draw on from Britain's local universities. |
